The final Eurasian Knot episode for 2024 will be out next Monday. It’s with David McCourt about his new book, The End of Engagement: America's China and Russia Experts and U.S. Strategy Since 1989, on the Russia and China experts who nest in Washington DC.
Can you believe that the Eurasian Knot will be 10 years old in February 2025?
Many longtime listeners will remember it as the SRB Podcast for most of that time. And a lot has changed along the way. The show’s quality improved. The name changed to Eurasian Knot. Rusana was added as co-host. We added a sound submission section. I began making audio narrative-the documentary series, Teddy Goes to the USSR,
Teddy was nominated for Best DIY Podcast in the 2023 Ambies Awards.
And I produced a two-part story, The Gift of Stalin.
So, there’s something to celebrate in February 2025. I just don’t know how. I’ve never been good about marking important dates . . .
But we’ll get to that another time.
For now, I want to list my ten favorite EK interviews for 2024. They are in no particular order. Just ten I found memorable.
